hello

am I the only one that get many contact from users wanting to create a form on their page and not getting to do so with DirectAdmin?

with cPanel it's VERY simple... you just need to configure an "action" to the FormmailClone and it's almost done

with DirectAdmin I've purchased Installatron (not only because the forms, of course) and recommend Contact Form or phpFormGenerator

phpFormGenerator is a mess... newbies simples can't configure it... they usually don't even know what a "checkbox" or "radio" is

Contact Form seens to be very limited

I'm kind of in the same boat as you?

I do agree that the forms in Installatron are a mess. PHPFormGenerator needs to have safe mode off and basic the basic form generator is not good enough. However, the forms in cpanel are no bargain.

It might be best to buy a professional form generator package program for server use. I know I saw one that was very professional with great features but I do not remeber the name. My current customers use NMS Secure Formmail in a server wide environment, but this is not that simple to use and to deploy it server wide on DA has been problematic due to PHPSuexec(not fault of DA). I'm curious as to what you will do because this is certainly a big issue I have. All we really need is a solid form program in Installatron.

maybe it's possible to run the cpanel FormmailClone on DirectAdmin server?

i think the only problem would be copyright... but i don't belive they have a copyright for that...

I don't think you want to run a FormMail clone. You want a secure FormMail that is actually updated.

AFAIK FormMail Clone is pretty secure...

it only allow mails to be sent to sites hosted on the same server
