forward sub-domain to a existed folder

when i add a sub-domain, directadmin will create a folder automatically. but if i already have a created folder, can i just forward a sub-domain to it?

This roundabout method works:

First create the subdomain.

Then, using the file manager, delete the subdirectory (they're only folders in non-geek circles ) and it's contents, and rename your existing subdirectory to the one that was created when you created the subdomain.
