The following is the correspondence between myself and my host, Awknet.
I am the webmaster of GameDevTalk.com, which is hosted on your service.

Although I've set up all the appropriate mail forwarders and the catch-all address in DirectAdmin, (all pointing to [my gmail] email address) no email seems to be receiving. I do not use a mail client like Outlook, just Gmail. I have verified that the spam and other filters are not interfering. In-house (with your service) webmail is not functioning, but an email address appears to exist. I do not want to use any in-house POP or IMAP services, just the forwarders and catch-all.
Awknet Support says:

Alright, well, without access to logs I can't especially say what's
wrong. I'd recommend looking at logs for the various apps (smtp and pop
agents), as well as DNS info. It sounds to me like [your DNS is broken].
Do you need something from me to access those logs? I can't seem to locate them in "DirectAdmin > Your Account > Site Summary / Statistics / Logs" unless you mean the "Apache Usage/Error Logs" neither of which even mention pop/smtp.
Awknet Support says:

Well, to start with we're not a managed host. If you're setting
everything up under direct admin and having problems, you should contact
direct admin. [email protected] - or visit their forums at
directadmin.com

If you're making the changes without using direct admin then you should
consult the documentation for the application you're trying to configure,
or browse google for examples.

In this case, it sounds like you might wanna hop on over to DA and ask
them what's up.
And there you have it. Any ideas what DirectAdmin might be having a problem with?

What does /var/log/exim/mainlog show?

This was triggered by emailing [email protected] which should forward back to the email address I sent it from.

Look carefully. The first line says exim received the email from you. The second line says exim did forward it to gmail.

And the third line says gmail DID receive it.

So now ask the postmasters at gmail.
