A user has discovered a rather nasty bug which I have verified.

The scenario it happens is, add a forwarder so email gets forwarded to a pop box. Then add the pop box to outlook and set keep emails stored on server, also tick remove after 3 days and remove when deleting locally.

Now dont delete locally and use your email normally for few days (best to try this on an active email so you get email) and you will find that email starts been delivered to outlook again and again. He told me its happening to all his email but for me its happened on just 1 email. I dont know how it works but outlook must be not detecting it already has downloaded the message so maybe its not getting a downloaded tag by the email server.

This is verified on both my DA boxes.

This is more an Outlook Bug. This happens to other panels with Outlook 2000 and Outlook XP. It's just that Outlook doesn't handle POP that good.

Thats what I thought at first but apperently the problem doesnt exist with other hosts, if hes telling me hes got 5 accounts and it only happens on mine and then I confirm the problem how can I argue against it?

I cant there is a problem with the DA system here, my isp email works fine with the option also.

This is an outlook/OE bug. We've never been able to reproduce it with any other mail client.

Exactly, I can confirm the same problems with QMail. So if both Exim and QMail deliver the same problems :s I guess it is an Outlook bug. I looks like it's less a problem with Outlook Express than with Outlook.

Thanks; I'll pass that on to my Outlook users.
