Hi, sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, I've tried to search.

All I want to do is forward my linux-user (the one for which I can log into webmail using only "admin" and not "[email protected]") to another email account.

Unfortunately this doesn't seem to be possible - is there a way anyone knows of to get around this?

The reason I want to do this is because I'm going on holiday and have forwarded all my email accounts to a GMail account so 1) it doesn't get clogged if I don't check for a long time and 2) I have a nice webmail interface for an Internet café for example.

Thanks in advance for your time :)

You can do it by creating an aliases file in the /etc/virtual/example.com/ directory for your main account.

Be sure you give it the right permissions and ownership.

By default DA doesn't create one and explains that you shouldn't have one.

This has been working for us for several years.

When you write admin I presume you mean admin which is the main account for the server.

As a reseller you're not using the admin account.

You can simply create a forward for your main account in your user-level control panel, and forward it anywhere you want.

This will forward the email to you and it won't end up in the system mailbox.

I've tested it, and it works fine for us.

I've set up forwards for my main DA accounts (admin and other end-user accounts) that are working as you describe.

However, I've also set up forwards for existing POP3 accounts, and the mail is still saved to that user's Inbox on the server, in addition to being forwarded.

I assumed that a forward would just forward and not keep a copy. So, while my mail has been successfully forwarded, copies were still being received and piling up on the server.

Question:
1. Is there a way to purely forward all email for POP3 accounts

2. Is there a way to make forwards happen before any spam scanning?

Even though I'm forwarding all mail, I don't want to remove the POP3 accounts because they have tons of old email that I want to save on server.
