I own a domain name (e.g. www.myname.com) with no hosting because I want it to route to another domain with a fully developed website. I've worked through SITE REDIRECTION and DOMAIN POINTERS, but it's not happening. Perhaps I'm doing it wrong. But it occurs to me that perhaps there's more to it ... or I could simply take www.microsoft.com and route it to my site. So, how do I do this?

It sounds as if you're doing it backwards.

You can't route microsoft.com to your site, but you can route your site to microsoft.com.

To use the site redirection feature you should log in as the site user for kayeveazey.com.

Then under Site Redirection the local URL path should be just a single / (forward slash character). The destination URL should be "www.vzcommunications.com" (without the quotes).

To anyone reading this thread, Jeff's advice is spot on. Works great now!

My problem turned out to be a problem with my URL and the wrong DNS set up by the URL registrar. Once that was resolved, and I took Jeff's advice, the forwarding was smooth.

Way to go Jeff!
