I can understand the current logic. Since a reseller is a child of admin, when he adds new domains to his account (not users), DA is using the parent's template.
It does make sense for the first domain, since there is no reseller template in place, however, when the reseller adds new domains himself, it just is weird when DA doesn't use his own default template.

So it would be nice for DA to change this behaviour and use the reseller's template when he's adding new domains to his account

I'm not sure what you mean by template. Please be more clear.

Thanks.

Jeff

Aha! The index.html template. I agree, that's what should happen.

Anyone else? Is it not happening for anyone?

After some deep thinking: topicstarter is correct, when adding a domain to the user level of a reseller the content of admin's default directory is being copied and not the content of the reseller's default directory, which should be. (now I understand why my own domains didn't receive the right content ;))

I'm sure my servers copy the reseller's default/ directory for users.....

Plus, if this is not the case, couldn't we use the domain_create_post.sh script to copy them (which I currently do for custom .htaccess files (joomla/etc hacks)?

Yes, it's not difficult to do via script, but it's one test to add in DA itself to make sure it copies the expected folder, so I'd rather have that.
