fresh install, error creating email accts

i just had da installed on a new server.
i went and added a couple of domains and a handful of email accounts, all that went fine. now 4hrs later .. i went to add another account and i get:

2007:10:18-11:27:33: unable to stat /etc/virtual/bmspartners.com/passwd.temp for filesize after write: euid:12
2007:10:18-11:29:45: unable to stat /etc/virtual/adeptsg.com/passwd.temp for filesize after write: euid:12
2007:10:18-11:31:06: unable to stat /etc/virtual/adeptsg.com/passwd.temp for filesize after write: euid:12
2007:10:18-11:31:25: unable to stat /etc/virtual/adeptsg.com/passwd.temp for filesize after write: euid:12

when i try to add email accounts.
what gives? no permissions were modified, nothing was changed.
any ideas?

Generally the error indicates not enough room to create a file.

You might want to check for that.
