Okay, I'm new to DirectAdmin, I switched over because I heard it was very fast/efficient/great. But now that I have it, its so confusing. Heres my problem.. I'm logged in as the main admin (admin is the account name, too). When I go to user level it doesn't show any domains listed. So I try to added a new domain after clicking the "Domain administration" button. I enter my domain and it says I cannot add the domain because it is the same as my hostname. And here I am thinking.. "No duh its the same as my hostname, I'm the host.".

What do I do to get started?

Btw, my domain is vilegaming.com and my VPS comes from knownhost.com

when you install DA, it will ask for hostname, maybe you entered vilegaming.com, that's why you can't add it because it's already used. you can change the hostname at Administrator Settings, change it to something like server.vilegaming.com then you can use vilegaming.com.

The DA setup instructions are very clear about this:

Important: The hostname should not be the same as the primary domain name. e.g. gary.com is not a good hostname, where server.gary.com is. Having the same host/main domain name will cause e-mail and FTP problems. Also, please make sure the hostname resolves once you setup DNS.
