FTP Authentication

Hi, currently i manage FTP user authentication using etc/passwd file, but when creating new FTP accounts under DA they are not accessible, i can mitigate this problem using etc/proftpd.passwd file, but i need that when a user changes his DA password the FTP password would be updated as well.

Is there a way to use both passwd files?

That is because DirectAdmin expects proftpd to use the proftpd.passwd file. You could have proftpd.passwd point to passwd as a link, but that could possibly be a security issue.

Other than that I don't know of another way around this since you can't configure DirectAdmin regarding this.
