ftp backup and load average problem

I just set up a 4 A.M backup that does remote backup through ftp. It is a small wordpress site but
I get high load average

Is there any solution?

Sometimes creating backups can cause high load for various reasons.
Try to add this in the directadmin.conf and restart DA:
ionice_string=/usr/bin/ionice -c2 -n7
use at your own risk ofcourse.
And it only starts to help maybe on the next backup, not on the running one.
