FTP password not working

Hi,

I have a problem with the FTP password on my account .

If I go to DA and chance the password on my FTP account and confirm it, by pressing "modify" I can not login with this password via my FTP client (LeechFTP).

It always shows "Invalid username or password for xyz".

Maybe it is because I can not check off one of the options given me in the modify ftp account mask???

How can I find out, what the current pw is?

I got the same problem for one of my users.

If i change all Account pass, modify the password from user account, or make a enw account, all always give invalid password.. on other users work correctly.

Is this for the main ftp account? If so, then the login is simply the username.

If it's for an ftp account you set up yourself, then the login is [email protected]; it looks similar to an email address.

If this tip doesn't help, then you may have the same problem that SeLLeRoNe is having, but you should probably contact your hosting company for help.

After changing the password do you check to make sure the password file is updated?

no i didnt, i dunno where look for... but.. ive solved reinstalling proftpd by /usr/local/directadmin/script/proftpd.sh

and than i made apt-get upgrade and now all working correctly
