FTP Rights

Hi,

I uploaded a joomla installation with the FTP, and I still have no permission to modifiy any fields. I try to modify permissions to 755, but it still doesn't work...

Here is the message: Operation Failed!: failed to open file /home/lkomfr1a/domains/l-kom.fr/public_html/

Hello,

To be able to modify files via FTP and to allow PHP scripts to write into them, you should use either suPHP (PHP-CGI) or mod_ruid2. HowTos for installation of any of them are available here on these forums. Please search the forums in order to find them.

If you own and administer your own server, then then follow zEitEr's excellent suggestion. If you're a reseller or user of a hosting company then you need to contact your hosting company for support.
