Full System Backup - Cron Schedule

I did a only database backup four times a day
Hour = "5,11,17,23"

I have a problem that he does the first backup at 5 but the other is not rewrite it because the folder with the date already exists from the backup first start of the day

How can you fix it it will overwrite the backup of an hour instead of the previous 11 done at 5?
 
My knowledge is too little to provide a better solution; but can't you incorporate a CHMOD-command in the cronjob just before the actual backup-cron, so the earlier backup is changed to be writable again?
