hello, I think I have a lot of trouble with my server. I have a lot of email in queue, emails no longer work etc ... I'm looking for someone to help me solve the problems. I can pay a bit if you must. thank you

Please do not doublepost.
I just wrote you an answer in your other thread. If you want me to do it for you, please pm me for a quote.

Well keep your problems in 1 thread then, not in 5 different ones.
You can ask for personal support here if you want. Or pm me or Sellerone or somebody else for a quote to help.

I already had a look. I replaced the aliases file with a correct one.
For the rest, the mail problems might be caused by some DNS problems I found.

@Groomy: Test it this way. If errors still occur, please state here which domains and exactly what errors are occuring. This way we can help you better then with a general "i've got a problem" message.

Check your logs and especially look into the messages in your mailqueue, don't delete them, check first.

I just discovered it could be a local problem as my email to that email address you mentioned got into your mailqueue and a lot of timeout notices came up:
From your exim mainlog:

Maybe Sellerone has an idea what is causing this?

Thanks Sellerone for my problem.
Now OVH blocks spam and suddenly port 25. The only solution for now is to enable TLS
Thank you if you can help me install TLS and certificate in postfix

Your server is not using postfix, it use exim.

And why the hell OVH block outgoing connection on port 25?? For Spam thing?? That's crazy man!

I'll take a look about change exim outgoing mail port...

Regards

I agree it's crazy that a datacenter provider blocks ports for dedicated servers you rent there!
Never heard something stupid like that before, but OVH service is also not all too great.

I would suggest to move to another company.

I did manage to change exim outgoing mail port to 465 as required by OVH.. but now some email are not going out cause remote mail server are not accetting connection on that port.. so... its a bad workaround cause actually dont fix anything..

Again, i suggest you to move out of OVH... If i'll ever need to rent a server/vps, i'll never go on OVH if that's the situation.

Regards

Second problem is that only servers with sla's get good support. Because support is from mo-fr 10-17.00 hours. If your server's harddisk crashes at 19.30 at friday evening you have to wait until monday 10.00 before it will be fixed. That's nice for customers and it was the reason we also only had a server present for 1 month and the got out of there fast.

Now they block port 25? They're getting worse every time.

i have this error now when i want to connect in squerelmail
ERROR
Error connecting to IMAP server: localhost.
0 : php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known

Everything fixed.
Please don't leave us hanging. How did you correct the issue with servers not accepting email from other outgoing ports besides port 25? (There's no reason why they shouldn't, but some might, as a perhaps misguided anti-spam error).

Jeff

Hello actually OVH they use a spam filter and it blocks almost everything from little can disable but with the risk of being banned
here is wholesale but my server was not a day too

Hi sorry wasnt my intention.

The OVH problem with port 25 has been solved by OVH itself, disabling a SPAM filtering that to me have no sense.

The squirrelmail porblem was related to /etc/hosts file which had not localhost 127.0.0.1 inside and that was causing the issue.

Regards
