Woke up to find 4k of failed messages... that couldn't be delivered (from mail-daemons elsewhere).....pita

I've now disabled catch-all, and tested an email to a non-existant address, but got:
This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

[email protected]

Technical details of permanent failure:
DNS Error: Domain name not found

----- Original message -----

DNS Error?
Is there any way I could change the template to say eg. 'This user doesn't exist'...etc?

TIA

Floyd:

Actually the domain can be found :D:
Code:
$ dig blahblah.co.uk +short
194.154.164.90
$
Peter, where did you see that error message; please give us the real domain name (if it's not blahblah.co.uk) and the context of the error.

Jeff

Yeah I get tired of fighting the fake domains.

But even if it can be found apparently it cannot be found with his server. Why he would want to change a server cannot be found with user cannot be found I don't know. But if he did then it would be very misleading to whoever got the error message.

You still haven't posted the context of the error.

Did someone shout it out at your out of the sky? Or perhaps the speakers?

Or did you find it in a log?

Or in a returned email? More information is needed.

Thanks.

Jeff
