Hi all,

OK so I'm going to be hosting some family, friend and personal sites. However, I'm also going to be hosting some paid sites.

Anyone experienced with DirectAdmin in this area. Should I set myself up as reseller or just add personal stuff as admin user?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

One reseller for personal sites.
Another reseller for paid sites.

I'm not sure about understanding what you meant.

To create new resellers follow this step:

Under Admin Level -> Create Reseller

You need to create at least 2 reseller, one for personal/family sites and one for paid sites.

Thanks jmtwl. Can you tell me the login behind this so I can gain a better understanding.

Thanks
Perhaps you meant the logic.

My logic would be that I might want to manage personal sites separately.

For example, we do this for our own sites. We also have a separate reseller set up for our freebie accounts.

Ease of management.

Ability to have separate signup emails.

Ability to track usage for your sites separately from customer sites.

Thanks for the replies. Sorry I did mean "logic".

I think I've got a setup thats workable. Thank you for the suggestions.

The whole admin, reseller, user portion of DA could use considerable refinement imo but once use to it I'm sure it won't be a problem.

Its actually very easy logic:

admin controls resellers
reseller controls users
user controls domains
