Has anyone noticed an increase in WP hack attempts for unlisted domains?

I started seeing hack attempts on public facing sites today and some of them are neither indexed or really public. Some are dev sites. It’s really odd.

is anyone else seeing anything like this?

Some of the sites have dns hosted on externally and others internally on local dns.

it’s somewhat alarming to me.

Any thoughts?

Meh, automated hack attempts try lots of domain. Several sites produce lists of recently registered domains, so it doesn't have to be indexed.
