Having issues with IMAP and Dovecot

I've tried asking on Dovecot's IRC channel and sure there's people on there but good luck getting anyone to talk.

Here's my issue. I'm trying to use IMAP instead of POP3. POP works just fine, can bring in all my messages, however, IMAP doesn't bring in anything. I don't receive any kind of error, just tells me no new messages. Before anyone asks, yes, I do have IMAP enabled in Dovecot's configuration.

The reason why I'm trying to get IMAP working is because I'm setting up roundcube. When I was using the installer for roundcube and testing the settings I put in, it said that my IMAP settings were successful.

Any suggestions?
 
Are you running the DirectAdmin control panel for webhosting? If so, it should just work, as no one has reported these kinds of issues.

If you're not running DirectAdmin, then you're asking in the wrong forum; this forum is for community-support of DirectAdmin.

If you're running an old version of DirectAdmin, and have just convered to Dovecot, then you may need to try again, using the tools in CustomBuild version 2.
