On newly updated DirectAdmin installations, ~/public_html is no longer a link but a directory. Since you don't say what you were doing when you got this error, it's impossible to give further help.

I think he was suspending a user and this is what he got on the next page.

I have seen this before myself. Previous DA versions used public_html as a symlink. But if for some reason that symlink was deleted and a directory put in its place this error will occur. But the user is still suspended so its not really a problem.

Yep, I realized that afterwards. Just figured you'd come around and clear things out :D
