Help please

Not sure if this is the right forum to post this but you never know.

Basically, I want to setup on my local server to download a couple of email accounts from our mail server. I then wish to run a script to extract the attachments and place these in specific folders on the local server.

I don't want to leave the email on the mail server and I don't need to access the email apart from extracting the attachments.

Basically the email account gets sent an email with an image attached from a web cam, I want to place the attached images into a folder on our local server so that we can look at the images at a later date.

I want it to be command line based so that i can set it up to run automatically without requiring human intervention.

I have had a brief look at fetchmail, but not sure if that is a good util to use in my case.

Any ideas thoughts etc.

I was thinking "fetchmail" all the way through reading your email, until I saw you're considering it.

It's exactly what you need.

Any suggestions on how to set it up, or atleast a fairly simple tutorial. I've had a look (google) and most seem fairly complex
