hello ,

first off all sorry for my bad english

i have 2 leased dedicated servers , both debian 7 32 bit , directAdmin , both with 4 useable ips and full root acces.

i can not set up my nameservers and reverse dns , i have tryed google and many how to's even the ones on this forum.
i'm realy getting crazy and im trying to set it up for over a month now , ive requested a reload of my servers 3 times now course i keep messing everything up ,
trying to execute the how to tutorials. nameservers i got working but then te reverse lookup isnt working
mail keeps hangin on a secure certificate (got it to work now but thunderbird keeps buggin me over this sertificate every time a ad a mailbox to it)

1 server i have not touched , the other i have added domain names ,

please can someone help me step by step so things will work

kind regards , leo

You need to ask your datacenter to change the rDNS for your server to fit your server hostname.

I have allready don that , and i get te reply the dont support or apply anny of these functions sinds it are unmanaged servers i need to do it myseft course non are suplly by them !

Since they own and manage the IPs they have to set your rDNS as required, if they dont i dont know what to say... they should...

tanx guys for the answers , i submidded the same ticket as before with same question and now the answer was :

We will setup your rdns as requested on server domain & NS "Example.com" ip "1.1.1.1.1" (both are example)
Task is been proccest by our staff.

I can not understand this suport , ist an exact copy and past of the first tickit with this request.
Now they can do it

I will wait until everything works , and then i am gonne ask wy it could not be done first time
Strainge way to support cussomers , at the end of my lease (1 year) i will go and look for another dedicated service provider with unmetered bandw.

Tell us your IP#(s) and desired rDNS setting(s) and we'll check to see if it works, or if not, we can probably tell you what you need to either do or to ask your support group to do, to get it working.
