help with apache config

i would like to config my apache httpd the best way
what are the best config setting, or where can i find info about it?
i have Apache 1.3.34

You should be able to find some general rules for calculating the best settings for your server. For example, whether or not you have a lot of dynamic (php, perl...) pages, memory availability, and so on.
