I tried to install directAdmin on Fedora C2, i have update the system first with up2date -u , and now when i install DirectAdmin, the i get the following error and the installation stops:

make: *** [libphp4.la] Error 1
./directadmin: error while loading shared libraries: libcom_err.so.3: cannot ope
n shared object file: No such file or directory
./directadmin: error while loading shared libraries: libcom_err.so.3: cannot ope
n shared object file: No such file or directory

Check your /etc/redhat-release file if it exists (or perhaps it could be /etc/fedora-release).

Perhaps your up2date run changed the version number. In which case you'll have to write sales and have your license changed to the version now being reported.

Latest versions of RHL don't have ibcom_err.so.3.

This didn't use to be an issue because until recently DirectAdmin was statically compiled, but as John wrote me it's now dynamically compiled for some OS distributions.
