HELP WITH DNS

hello, I'm so confused! I am trying to add a zone in the dns and it keeps saying it isn't able to resolve to server.mydomain.com. I have no idea how to set this up or if I should change the 2 ns that are listed here. Gosh I'm so confused and you can't email them for help because they don't like questions.

What NS record is for ?

Hi guys, I'm trying to understand the NS record but till now I can't figure out why it is used and what for. In the illustration below we get to the DNS records without using the NS record. So what it is for ?

Where did you add the server zone (internal DNS or external DNS)? Does this return an IP?

dig short+ server.mydomain.com
