Help with MX records question

I want to set up a domain on 1and1.com and have it point to my site, which I set up and administer through DirectAdmin. How do I tell what the MX record information is, since all it lists is:

Name Type Value
mail MX 10

I was hoping to see something in the form of mx01.mysite.com, 10... but I don't see it. Anyone else done this?

I'm confused by your post and what you are trying to accomplish? If you are talking about just doing domain registration with 1and1 and the site is hosted somewhere else all you would need to do is point the name servers via the registrars (1and1?) control panel to the name servers for your site.

mail MX 10

That would mean the MX record is going to point to mail.yoursite.com.
