Based on the error it looks as if you're trying to log in to your server using SSH, and not that you're trying to log in to the DirectAdmin control panel.
SSH runs with one of two protocols, either 1 or 2.
You'll get this message if you're ssh client and the ssh daemon aren't set for the same protocol.
It's not really a DA issue.

What SSH program are you trying to use to access your box?
What protocol is your ssh program using?
What protocol is your sshd set to use?
Can your webhost get in?
