Hi, im getting this on a clean installation of CentOS 8 64-bit installation, not sure how to resolve, could someone help

==============================

checking whether to build with LIBXML support... yes
checking for libxml-2.0 >= 2.7.6... no
configure: error: Package requirements (libxml-2.0 >= 2.7.6) were not met:

No package 'libxml-2.0' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables LIBXML_CFLAGS
and LIBXML_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

*** There was an error while trying to configure php. Check the configure file
PHP has been secured.
Job for httpd.service failed because the control process exited with error code. See "systemctl status httpd.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.

Does your licence match the OS in Directadmin customer panel? Centos 8 64-bit?
You can try to do a "yum install libxml2" but I think there is more to it here.

I did the yum install libxml2, and it says

Package libxml2-2.9.1-6.el7.5.x86_64 already installed and latest version
Nothing to do.

Im not sure on the license, It shows a license on my VPS control panel. It says the following::

My VPS says Free DirectAdmin for CentOS 8 64-bit VPS, as the image.

Did you run the preinstall commands before the setup.sh?

I did the preinstall, i re-did it now, and said
Package ******* already installed and latest version

i didnt do the setup.sh, i thought it was preinstalled with the OS as an image, maybe i should do it that way

Aaaa, in that case what i would recommend is to use a distro you know well and get an clean image and you a full install yourself.

You should convert Centos 8 to Almalinux before installing DA because Centos 8 eol on 31 Dec this year.

Thanks, i just got a reply from my hosting, that said they will install it for me!! Thanks for all the help.
