I'm looking for server administrator familiar with openVPS & XEN and DirectAdmin. Servers are in a datacenter in Netherlands. Tasks will include:
- Root OS config/security on clean Centos 5 with clean DA installed
- Setup a secondary (slave) DNS server on allocated VPS, setup master2slave DNS synchronization. If you can offer a Slave DNS service on your server, we can agree on this, this is definitely an advantage
- Tweaking LAMP to make it secure and fast
- Optimize PHP, MySql for shared environment (mod_ruid2)
- Setup some cashing option (APC cache or Memcached)
- DA/Server help occasionally (we do most of the stuff internally, so it should be sometimes when need to change some LAMP configuration or some problems appears)
- Help to setup an offsite backup solution
You must be available for emergencies on short notice (e-mail, skype messages).
At the moment we would start with one server and add more later (when we begin to move clients from our other servers).
Just a note: our service is not based on hosting, we are SaaS providers so our customers do not have access to DirectAdmin(we provide only one FTP account per user), it is necessary to exclude all unnecessary services on the server and make it safe as much as possible.
We are looking for an expert person for long-term cooperation, let's say with a reputation in the DirectAdmin community.
Thanks
