Please see the following:
Error connecting to MySQL: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

This is an error displayed in the Control Panel at MySQL Management

The database server has this problem since yesterday. Please try to see what's the problem because all database websites are down

Where are to write this codes?

Where are to write this codes?
I have the same problem

Don't have to write them anywhere, they are the commands to stop and restart mysql. That should relink the PID to the mysql.sock which is probably causing the problem.

I've starting to think something in the lastest DA release is causing this becuase I haven't seen so many people (including myself) have this problem in a dogs age.

As I've written before, DA doesn't do anything to MySQL, and updating DirectAdmin doesn't update MySQL, so it's doubtful DA is doing anything to cause this to happen.

However, DA does shutdown and then restart MySQL during a sysbk (System) backup, so that might be causing a problem if MySQL fails to restart.

Note to Andyred and to RamiBot:

The command is typed in from the linux or unix shell command line, as root.

If you don't own the server, but rather buy webhosting from a hosting company using DirectAdmin, then you'll need to contact your hosting company.
