Hostbigger.com MySQL Server Error

Please see the following:
Error connecting to MySQL: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

This is an error displayed in the Control Panel at MySQL Management

The database server has this problem since yesterday. Please try to see what's the problem because all database websites are down

from root...

killall mysqld
/sbin/service mysqld restart


Should fix it.

Also might want to see if you have a /etc/my.cnf file..it not:
