My hard drive was not bootable and was migrated to another machine.
It should be mounted as /old and how can I backup all users on it?

I know how to backup directadmin users via ssh (http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=198).Yet i donot know whether this works for my situation.

Anybody can give some advise:confused:? Thank you very much.

It is possible to dump => restore all disk information, as usual.
We've done it recently on disk change to larger one.

I don't think it will; I think it will only work when all user information is in the expected locations.

If the only problem with the drive is that it wouldn't boot you might be able to mount the drive partitions and make the backup, then remove the drive, reboot, and restore the backup to the newly set-up system, but you'd need to have a full DirectAdmin installation on your new drive.

I don't recommend you do this yourself, but rather that you hire someone experienced with this sort of work.
