How can use mail in server but don't use hosting on it

I had a domain(xxx.com) and I pointed to nameserver of my VPS
ns1.xxxxxxxx.com and ns2.xxxxxxxx.com
I want to use mail on this server and point xxx.com to another server
please help me how can I do that

Set up your hosting on the other server, and change your A record for example.com and for www.example.com, to point to the DNS set up on the other server (where your domain would replace example.com).

If you need the A record for example.com to point to the server hosting your email, then create a redirect in your public_html for the domain on the email-hosting server, to be a redirect to www.example.com.
