I am currently running DirectAdmin now on a VM at a hosting provider and will like to migrate the VM everything staying intact except for public IP address to another VM at another ISP

Can this be donw? If yes, how?

The current VM is a VM in Paralleles Virtuosso i think, not 100% sure
the new VM will be a VM in Xenserver 6.2

Current/New VM is/will be running CentOS 6

Thanks

Make sure to update LIC for a new IP.

Ok

A few other questions

#1. Why don't i just rsync the whole thing from "/"?
I am saying this because i have done somethings without using DA control panel, so how do i make sure everything is all copied over?

#2 What about database? Will that copy automatically by just copying as you pointed out?

Thanks

If you start rsyncing from / then it should make a copy (and even overwrite) of all existing data including MySQL. But I'd rather not do that (unless you rsync server A from / to server B to /backup/), and don't recommend that you do rsync from / (server A) to / (server B), unless you've got virtual console or IP KVM, or any other way to work with your server excluding SSH.

Yes i own the hardware too(colocation), so 100% control of everything and i got KVM switch with virtual media for that matter
Just migrating from this old VM to my own new VM
Using XenServer by the way
