how do I reduce the used Disk space?

Our used Disk Space is now in the Orange zone 750 out of 1000 max. What do I tell everyone to do, to alleviate their used disk space within their personal e-mail accounts?

I thought at first to tell them to go into their E-mail Broswer, into the Account Settings, into the Server Settings, and check the box the says "Remove from Server after _?_ days?", and put 5 days in the space.

I have some people here that use their cell phones to check e-mails while they're on the road. They like to also get their e-mail on their computers when they get back too. So that's why I tell them to leave the e-mails on the server for 5 days.

However, it doesn't appear to be deleting them after 5 days and then I have people who don't have that box checked at all and their e-mail account has 6.8 up to 12 megs.

Where do I have them check and fix this problem? Is there some setting I need to set from the DirectAdmin that would fix this problem?

It appears you have a problem with the amount of user space you use vs the user space you've contracted for.

We're not your hosting company.

Do you know with certainly that the problem is with email? Can you be sure that your users have in fact told their email client to remove email after five days? Are you certain their email clients are doing that? Are you certain that even after doing that you're not using too much space somewhere else?

There's no way we can help you; you should contact your hosting provider and work with them.
