Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me. I'd like to set up an autoresponder to send out emails to my contact list, but I don't understand how to do it. I read all the instructions and watched the tutorials, but unfortunately I just don't understand what I'm suppose to do.

I used Direct Admin Site Builder to create my website and everything is working, but I'm lost when it comes to sending out messages to people that subscribe to my list. The messages I'm sending are in either a .PDF or .JPG format.

My site is: http://www.cattalesbycilantroandtarragon.com.

I'd like to send the email from the the email account:
[email protected]

I am totally computer illiterate, so if someone could explain how to do this in terms I can understand, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanking you in advance for any help you can provide.

You are trying to use a screwdriver to drive a nail.

The autoresponder does not send out email to a contact list. The autoresponder "responds" to email sent to it.

To send out emails to a contact list you need a email list manager.

Actually many commercial (and some free) programs designed to send out a series of emails are called autoresponders by their publishers, so there's definitely room for confusion.

Kary, DirectAdmin's autoresponder works exadtly as Floyd says it does. You need to look for an autoresponder that does what you want and that allows you to upload a pre-existing mailing list. You also need to make certain that your hosting provider allows you to upload a pre-exisiting mailing list; some do NOT.

Since DirectAdmin doesn't have a Site Builder, I'm presuming that your hosting provider has added one or more programs to their offering. I strongly suggest you contact your hosting provider for suggestions.

Thanks

Thanks, I'll do that, I heard a lot of people highly recommend Aweber as an autoresponder. I'll check to see if I can use it or not prior to buying it.
