How do i upgrade to Apache 2.2?

I have searched on how to upgrade to 2.2 but that i can find is how to go to 2.0. I am using 1.3 right now and I want to go to 2.2 so that mod_security will run correctly.
 
*BUMP* .. well, sort off

I'm thinking about upgrading too. However, I have a lot of modules running right now, that basically will need to be reinstalled once I upgrade .. right?

I guess that what I'm trying to say is: I'm pretty confident about the apache upgrade process, however, I'd like to know what other *stuff* needs to be reinstalled/upgraded too?
