I just got a VPS with Direct Admin as the controrl panel. I tried to create an end-user for myself. But in the email sent to the end-use, it says:

You must use these dns servers for your domain. They can be changed through your domain registrar.

NS1: ns1.uspie.net
NS1 IP: unknown
NS2: ns2.uspie.net
NS2 IP: unknown

I don't know why the IPs for both NS1 and NS2 are unknown. So I'm wondering how I can assign IPs to Nameservers?

Thank you very much!

Is uspie.net your domain name?

If so then you need at least two IP#s on your VPS to create two nameservers. Or alternatively (and actually recommended) you need to create one on your VPS usingone of the IP#s, and another on another server, and learn how to manage DNS master to slave propagation.

And then you have to register ns1.uspie.net and ns2.uspie.net with the registrar where you registered the domain.

Once you've set that up you'll know IP#s you've used.

If uspie.net isn't your domain, then you don't need to know IP#s to create them as nameservers.
