how to check if clamav and spamassassin work?

Hi,

I just installed the Clamav and spamassassin with the all-in-one script and I would like to check if all is actually working... how do I best do this? I can see that clamav is running.. (shouldn't clamav disable me to upload eicar.com file for example? it lets me upload it...) but as to spamassassin I don't know....

Any advice would be much appreciated.

hmm...here is an example..I see that it has been scanned for virus..

X-MS-Has-Attach: yes
X-Antivirus-Scanner: Clean mail though you should still use an Antivirus
X-MSK: BYS=0.000000,HRC=0.397777

But does Clamav also scan the system for files that are insecure or for example used for phishing? I'm having trouble with users who run phpBB and who cause a lot of spam being sent from my machine every now and then, resulting in SpamCop listings which are quite annoying as you can imagine.

Any tips...?

i though this was an email only scanner, better install mod_security for example to block phpbb spam actions
