Hi,

I am trying to switch from using the inbuilt mail service to Google (I need more mailbox space)

Google require an MX record of ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

I have tried to configure this in control panel but I end up with an MX record of:
ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.aitm-ltd.co.uk which I'm pretty sure is completely wrong.

I have read the help but it is not very clear on this scenario.

Could anyone tell me what I should be entering under NAME and VALUE in order to achieve my goal please?

Thanks in advance,

Andrew

Go to User Panel -> domain.com -> MX Records
There should be an option for "Local Mail Server". Uncheck that option.

The go to your DNS administration.
Remove your old MX record.
Remove the A records for smtp, mail etc. or change them to the correct ip's if necessary.
Check this post:

Add this and mind the trailing dots!!

Code:
yourdomain.com. MX 10 ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
I would use lowercase by the way, but then you (or others reading this) might not see the difference between l and L.

If I'm correct this should work.
