How to create an account just for Web Hosting

Hi Guys,

I have a scenario as follows

Customer wants to host only their website with my server.
Their domain and email(s) will still retain at their current provider.

I realised once i setup the account and domain in DirectAdmin, i am unable to send them emails as their domain is now shown as "hosted" with my server so it is routing internally.

Not sure if you guys can make sense of my problem.

Appreciate any help or advice here.

Hello,

Login to his User account, go to his "MX Records", ensure you uncheck the "Local Mail Server" option so exim knows that it's not a local mail domain. Also update the MX records accordingly, to point to the external mail server.
