My 1024 mb VPS crashes almost every night, when there are no visitors. My host says it is because of memory overload and refers to the logs. However there are many logs, is there some introduction to how to interpret these logs somewhere? Or can someone tell me how to find out more about the cause of these memory overloads?

Many thanks

I'd suppose it's because of Apache.

Research logged messages from oomkiller, dmesg (if available on your virtualization type), /var/log/messages
server-status in Apache.

Or, hire somebody for the job from these forums. I'm ready to do it for you as well as some other members of the forums.
