customer like to downgrade from mysql 5x to 4x , running centos 4.2 64bit with DA 64bit

I'm in the same position too. A lot of my clients use Invisionboard 1.3 - but it's not supported past MySQL 4.0.x ( might work with 4.1.x ).

I would like to do the same too.

Weird.

----------

051216 03:19:12 mysqld started
051216 3:19:12 [ERROR] Character set information not found in '/usr/share/mysql/english/errmsg.sys'. Please install the latest version of this file.
051216 3:19:12 [ERROR] Aborting

051216 03:19:12 mysqld ended

----------------

I'm getting these errors now. And NOT FINDING /var/log/hostname.host.com.pid file.

I'd used the 64bit version of DA on Opteron structure. Do I need to get 64bit RPMs of mysql ?

hehe  --- I was right. I was installing the wrong set of RPMs. If you use the 64bit system it should be alright.
