Dear Sir/Madam,

I have a CentOS server using a DirectAdmin, but the installation was done by my service provider, but we are moving to a new cloud platform which already installed CentOS, unfortunately I don't know how to install it on CentOS, I am also new in CentOS too but I know how to type the command, Would anyone can help me how to install it on CentOS server? I read the procedure on the web but still doesn't know how to do it as it seems like required to install the following components, that would be great if you can share with me a installation guide, step by step to do the partition, installation and configuration.

  • DirectAdmin Control Panel Software
  • Apache 2.0, 2.2, 2.4 Web Server
  • Php 5.2 or 5.3, 5.4, 5.5 Php Scripting Language (CLI, suPhp/cgi, php-fpm, or fastcgi)
  • PhpMyAdmin MySQL Database Manager
  • MySQL 5.0/5.1/5.5/5.6 MySQL Databases
  • Exim 4 Exim Mail Manager
  • Majordomo 1.94.5 Majordomo Mailing List Manager
  • Dovecot Pop/Imap Server. Uses Maildir
  • Proftpd or PureFTPd FTP Server

one more thing, do I need to subscribe a license before to do the installation? or install directadmin and then do the license activation?

thank you very much!

No, it is not required to have these components installed. It just lists what is being installed together with DirectAdmin. You may find a complete installation guide here: http://www.directadmin.com/installguide.html. The first step to take before the "setup.sh" is http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=354 (it's also mentioned in the installation guide).

About the license: you need to get a license before the installation.

Good luck!

Dear Martynas, I will try it out and may need your help during the installation, thank you very much!!

Don't hesitate to contact me or support[at]directadmin[dot]com if you'd need any free help on getting it up&running :) However, the installation process is pretty easy, so I hope you will not encounter any problems.

I have one more question, if I install DirectAdmin on a server A but somehow it corrupted or I replace a new server hardware or change IP address , May I re-use the DirectAdmin license? thanks.
