How to Transfer a user?

Hi,
How cai I tranfer one user form one server to another (with differents IPs)?
I try making a remote ftp backup in the old server and them import in the new one, but it always give me a IP error.

Invalid IP/Domain for the ftp connection

Any help?

The reseller can do the backup and change the IP# as an option.

But users are expected to rebuild their backups on the same server with the same IP#.

You can of course extract the files from the various tarballs manually, and change them as necessary.
