How to upgrade mariaDB 10.3 to Mysql 8

Hello,

I believe the following steps should work:

1. create dumps of all DBs
2. remove MariaDB 10.3
3. install MySQL 8
4. import dumps.

Search https://help.directadmin.com/ and forums for more details on each steps, or get someone to do it for you.

Got MariaDB 10.4 on CentOS 8 and faced first some issues with importing DBs and changing SQL user's password. I believe the issues will be solved, just give them time for it.

RPMs have been uploaded, so "./build mysql" should work. Regarding MariaDB 10.3 - no easy way to convert to 8.0 if you have data there. If there is no data, you can simply do:

Yes, it has been solved already. Installation has been performed with DirectAdmin license for CentOS 7. Hence it completed with setup.sh script with some issues.
