How to use FTPS in DirectAdmin (Backup/Transfer)?

Hi,

for example: by default FileZilla try connecting to FTP over TLS. (if the server supports it) i test my ftp account with FileZilla:

Status: Connecting to SERVER-IP:21...
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Status: Initializing TLS...
Status: Verifying certificate...
Status: TLS connection established.
Status: Server does not support non-ASCII characters.
Status: Logged in
Status: Retrieving directory listing...
Status: Directory listing of "/" successful

but when i try same FTP account in (DirectAdmin Backup/Transfer) with (FTPS) option, it failed. {without FTPS option backup is created!}


error message:

Error during Backup Creation

Details
/usr/bin/curl returned error code 56
curl: (56) FTP response reading failed
FTP information invalid.

Hello,

Do you try to store backups on the same server? Or is it a separate backup server?

What FTP-server did you test with FileZilla: a source server (with directadmin) or a target server (used for storing backups)?

Anyway try to connect in a command line from Directadmin server to a remote FTPs server and see what might be wrong.
 
Hi Alex,
i tried with 2 DirectAdmin server. (both source and target servers)

could you provide the commands to test this? (and may need to install extra packages)
