http path to the FTP account

I can't firgue out the http path to the test ftp account I created. I'm going to use the IP and not domain, but I can't access the file via http, could anyone help?

If my sever IP is 11.11.11.11 and I create FTP account test, what's the URL to it?

I've tried various path with no luck

http://11.11.11.11/test/file.zip
http://11.11.11.11/test/public_html/file.zip
...
and so on.

Any light on this would be appreciated.

It depends what path/folder you selected for the ftp account when you created it.

FTP accounts are not available through http by default; you have to set up the ftp account to somewhere inside the public_html directory path.

I did setup the account within public_html, I just don't know what is the http path to that FTP account. I even tried something like this (copied server path):

http://11.11.11.11/home/admin/domains/mydomain.com/public_html/testaccount/file.zip

Anymore clue please? It's so easy, I don't know why I have problem finding the path on this one.

Anything under public_html is in the root folder as seen by httpd.

So if the directory is:

~/public_html/testdirectory

then for httpd access you'd use:

http://www.example.com/testdirectory/

Got it, thanks so much.

Btw, somehow the stats on the right panel show Disk Space used is 501MB. Even after deleting current admin and that FTP account, it still showing 501MB.

You know how to reset the stats?
