Hi,
I have just transfered my own domain name only from my actual hosting to another Registrar and now my Administrator said that I can't view my site again if I do not have a domain name.

That's so strange for me, because normally if I do not have a domain name the administrator still can create anyway an adress like for example: "http://users.myhost.fr/~myname" to able access to my site.

Is there anyone know if it's possible ?

Note: This is possible when I used the "Cpanel" :D (tested!)

Regards.

Since a registrar is a place where you get domain names, I'm not sure what you mean about not having a domain name.

Do you mean a hosting company?

It's up to the hosting company hosting your site to determine their own policies.

Since a domain accessed the way you want to access it will not have it's traffic measured, it's unlikely your hosting company will want to set up something like this for you.

Why did you leave your last host if it worked for you?

Jeff

Hi

Hi Jeff,
I do not leave my Host.

All that I need, it's to have an address like "http://users.myhost.com/~myname" from myhost.com who's that using "DirectAdmin".

I just want to know if it's possible to have only an adress like above, without a domain name using a DirectAdmin.

Regards.

something like that would really depend on whether yourhost. Possible, but whether they want to or not.

hmm..

Oh I see, but I still need more proove if it's possible.. :(

I believe that's very possible because I had a Cpanel from another host and was no problem for my case.

Thanks..

Thanks Jeff,
Finally it works  :D

Thanks a lot especially for your Proof ! that makes me help a lot.

The Best Control Panel for me now are:
Cpanel and DirectAdmin (Prooved, faster and tested!) :D

The Plesk 7.5 is too slow, and takes more time to load a page

Alt.
