Well, if you care for your uptime guarantee, unless a power cut happens or/and UPS are dead too, then KernelCare is the next next thing.... You can still, and advised to, update the kernel normally - if power goes, then the next boot, the new kernel will take effect obviously then KernelCare will continue to patch the new kernel when needed.......

Usually i reboot overnight with almost no traffic (not so many domains anyway).

I would like to have time and resources to implement the da clustering i'd prepare

Anyway, i know it is useful, i was just thinking that maybe there was something opensource/free to use

If you run servers, then ideally you should be subscribing to a security source. Besides, JBMC are only responsible to inform us of actual DA security issues, not 3rd party software.

Also, you could subscribe to this and other sub-forums maybe?
